MicroStrategy now holds over 100000 Bitcoins

Software company MicroStrategy announced today it now holds over 100000 Bitcoins after purchasing a further 13,005 bitcoins for around $489 million in cash.

With an average purchase price of $37,617 the buy comes after the company completed a $500M secured note offering last week, with each note bearing an annual interest rate of 6.125%.

MicroStrategy started buying BTC in August 2020, and since then has accumulated a total of 105,085 BTC, at an average price of $26,080 per Bitcoin. Apparently, MacroStrategy LLC, which is a recently formed MicroStrategy subsiduary, is holding roughly 90% of these Bitcoin’s.
